BRODIT TO LAUNCH IN VEHICLE DEVICE HOLDERS FOR THE LATEST MOBILE DEVICES AT COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SHOW

Visitors to this year’s Commercial Vehicle (CV) show will get to test-drive a rugged new range of holders for Zebra’s latest vehicle-mounted touch computers.

Technology solutions specialist Brodit will be demonstrating its range of holders for the Zebra TC57, TC77 and TC25 at stand 4B32 at the NEC from April 30-May 2.

Customised specifically for each device, the holders are made up of a vehicle mount called the ProClip, which clips tightly into the seams of the dashboard or surface for a secure hold and built-in-look, and a holder which has grooves in the sidewalls for a secure hold, while allowing for easy docking and removal.

Designed to protect devices in any work environment, they are the ideal partnership for the TC57 and TC77 personal digital assistants and the TC25 rugged smartphone, which help field workforces get the job done faster and smarter.

Nick Creswick, B2B manager for Brodit in the UK, said: “When it comes to robust, clever devices, Zebra are the market leaders and our rugged holders complement them perfectly, keeping them tightly secure and ultimately extending their life span.

“The Zebra devices are also designed not to run out of battery and our holders have automatic charging built in, eliminating the need for human interaction so there is no chance they won’t be ready to go when you need them.

“In an increasingly competitive and fast-paced world, companies and fleet managers cannot afford to have situations where consumers can’t track a delivery or a driver can’t get proof of delivery, for example. The holders remove the risk.”

The high quality, ergonomic Brodit holders can be mounted everywhere from commercial vans and HGVs through to forklift trucks in a warehouse. Like the devices themselves, they can withstand rain, heat, sub-zero cold, drops and spills.

With the ProClip, there is no disassembly of the dash or drilling required so installation is a doddle and easy for anyone to do in minutes. Designed to minimise vibration, it also offers multiple positions for most vehicles.

With the Brodit holder’s tilt-swivel, you can rotate and angle a device up to 20° in every direction to point towards the driver and away from glare.

Nick added: “Brodit doesn’t have a retail store, so the CV show is the chance for visitors to get their hands on them, feel the quality and how robust they really are. We look forward to showing them exactly how good the products are.”

Brodit, which counts DX Group, Yodel, National Grid and Tarmac, as well as councils and emergency services, amongst its customers, will also be showcasing its holders for the Samsung Xcover4, Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet and the range of Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones at the CV show.

Brodit was established Karlsborg Sweden in 1983 and manufacturing continues there to this day.  They produce device-specific holders for the leading manufacturers including Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Zebra, Panasonic and Honeywell.
