Brodit 2 part solution
Zebra devices are used in a wide range of applications and industries due to the functionality and durability of the products. In the age of online ordering and same-day delivery, the task of making the job easier for the £13bn courier industry in the UK has mobile computers at the centre.
The Zebra TC27 has been designed to provide a smartphone design with the power of a mobile computer. The TC27 matches the connectivity which is at the heart of the smartphone with the likes of private 5G, Wi-fi with wireless stability and Bluetooth.
It also mimics the range of functionality that smartphones provide as the Zebra TC27 supports tap-to pay and can read tickets, passes and vouchers within an Apple or Google wallet.
The 6-inch multi-touch screen and rear-viewing window features Corning Gorilla Glass, which is both scratch and smash resistant. Thanks to the high-quality, rugged exterior the TC27 has an IP68 rating. That means it’s not only dust-proof but it has the highest waterproof rating currently on the market. Due to the increased demands of the TC27, it can operate in temperatures from -10 to +50 degrees Celsius.
Although the TC27 is inspired by the connectivity and functionality of the smartphone, it has specific features to benefit the commercial market such as removable batteries which means it never has to be out of action. You can either get the standard 3800mAh battery or upgrade to 5200 mAh and the device only weighs around the same as smartphones on the market. It also has a lightning-fast RFID reader partnered with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Zebra calls the TC27, “The ultimate cost-effective tool for small businesses- with big business features”. As there are many markets and applications in the retail, hospitality, field mobility, field service and warehouse sector the TC27 has to be matched with rugged and ergonomic holders and cradles.
Brodit has designed and manufactured specific cradles to hold the Zebra TC27. There are active (charging) and passive (non-charging) options available for the device and options for the device which are compatible with the protective boot (case).
